Bangkok, Thailand, 12 December 2008. Innovative Thai dining brand Mango Tree announced today the opening of its 7th outlet, Mango Tree Thai Restaurant Macau, at the newly opened The Shoppes at Four Seasons on Macau's newest hotspot, the Cotai Strip.
The opening solidifies brand owner COCA Holding International's strong expansion into the world's most prestigious dining addresses, said Trevor MacKenzie, director of global development at Exquisine, Coca's international development arm. “We are very excited to have yet another prime address for the Mango Tree brand, this time in the heart of the buzz in Macau on the Cotai Strip. This enhances our reputation for combining contemporary, casual fine dining in the world's most lively cities worldwide and is a perfect fit with our brand strategy. We are going where the action is!”
Pitaya Phanphensophon CEO of COCA Holding International, owner of the Mango Tree brand, says: “We have been looking for a few years to open another location in Asia but until Macau they didn't meet our high standards and fit in with our philosophy of creating a memorable experience. We will continue to seek exciting, new locations around the world.”
Mango Tree Thai Restaurant Macau joins sister restaurants in several exciting overseas locations. First established in 1994 in a 1920s Rama VI-era Bangkok house, Mango Tree got its name from three large mango trees in its outdoor dining area. Hugely popular with foreign customers, Mango Tree expanded overseas to Belgravia, London, then atop Tokyo's famous Marunouchi Building in Ginza, followed by Kuching, Malaysia and Dubai's Old Town Burj (Souk Al Bahar). In Thailand, its Suvarnabhumi International Airport location gives visitors a memorable send-off.
Mr. Pitaya says guests will appreciate the Mango Tree experience: “We're more than just a place to fill your stomach. Guests get a full dining experience that combines authentic, fresh Thai food with creative cocktails, a wine list with over 100 selections and VIP rooms. Our secret? No frozen products, everything must be fresh! Produce is bought daily, our fish and lobsters are kept in live tanks, we use fresh local freshwater clams and live local mud crabs, and every day we fly in unique foods like Kobe Beef from Japan, Boston Lobsters from the USA, Iberico pork from Portugal, and black mussels from Belgium.”
Mango Tree Macau introduces innovative Thai dishes like a cold / hot Fruits de Mer Seafood platter served with unique Thai dipping sauces, Salad Neur Kobe Yang ( Grilled Kobe Beef Salad), along with Macau favorites like Yellow Curry except we have even taken it one step further by offering Goong Monkorn Phong Karee (Fresh Boston Lobster Stirfried with Yellow Curry).
“Our guests often compliment us on the quality and taste of our cuisine along with the great Thai hospitality they receive leading to their concluding comments that we will definitely see them again and again,” said Mr. Pitaya proudly. “At some of our restaurants, guests must wait up to two to four weeks to get a booking!”
Mango Tree Macau opens 16th December, 2008. Reservations are highly recommended. Keep your lucky streak alive and give your family and friends a dining treat they'll long remember.
